Add-on to be installed at restart of Firefox is not installed. Also, add-on that is to be uninstalled on restart of Firefox in not uninstalled.

I have tried to manually uninstall plugin without success. I also have reinitialized the plugins database without success. I also tried to download a new copy of the add-on that is not being installed but I am told I already have a plugin with that name.

McAfee Siteadvisor has worked for me for over a year. Now I find that it " will be installed when Firefox is restarted" but it is never installed, no matter how many restarts I make.

I wonder if this problem could have started because I sometimes run 2 copies of Firefox at the same time using a split screen.

The last suggestion at the moment in https://community.mcafee.com/message/203466 is to uninstall and reinstall. You must uninstall "McAfee Site Advisor" using the Control Panel > add/change programs (Programs and Features). Reboot the system. Then Reinstall from http://www.siteadvisor.com/ and reboot the system, which I will probably try because Firefox is really slow.
