Why is my email server not connecting to imap?
Since 20/08/18 I cannot receive or send emails on a setup I have used for many years. The continuous message is "connecting to imap.plus.net", but it is not connecting. Please investigate and help

How can I post anything when my email programme is not working?
The fact that thunderbird is not connecting to imap is not relevant in posting an image of thunderbird when it has started.
You can start Thunderbird program as you have already said. I need to see what it looks like when it starts up.

Are you saying that on your PC, when you click on Thunderbird icon to start Thunderbird, Thunderbird does not open? Because that is entirely different from not connecting to imap server.
