I can't seem to download anything, anymore. Firefox won't intiate the download, there's no prompt's or errors. How can I fix this?

Hi there, I tried downloading a file today, and it gave me no prompt to save, or any errors. It doesn't show up in the downloads tab no does it even initiate. I've tried downloading several other files, and the same thing. This doesn't usually happen, just the other day it worked fine.

I've tried downloading with both Chrome and iE, and they both work - i prefer using Firefox though.

I've followed all the troubleshooting advie I could find on the support pages, to no avail.

I disabled my anit-virus, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Cleared the cache and cookies. But still no downloads.

This has never happened to me before, is there something I can do to rememdy this issue?

You are using a very old version of Firefox. Please update to Firefox 57, and let me know if you are still having issues!

It's weird that it didn't auot-update.
