System details... Firefox version: 38.0.5 HP ProBook 4530s Operating System: Windows 7

In trying to access my bank account, I can enter my username & password OK. Then I am prompted for a security question. But, as I type the answer into the field, the characters are deleted as I type them (they do not appear as * or dots, but as the actual characters). When I click the "Submit" button, nothing happens - as if the field were blank, which it is.

I contacted the bank, and they said it was a problem with cookies. I checked, and I am allowing cookies. I have "Accept cookies from sites" selected, and "Accept cookies from sites" set to "Always" (no exceptions).

I do have "Ghostery" installed, but there were no objects found at my bank's site. But just to be sure, I selected "Pause Blocking", but still the problem occurs.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
