Firefox deosn't register any key presses

For clarification, mouse clicks DO work.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
Some have reported that pressing F9 and the Windows key simultaneously one or more times has worked to fix issues with the keyboard not working.
