FF above 4 takes minuteS to boot and time in excess of 5 minutes to close down --- not acceptable on laptops. Browser takes excessive time loading sites from entered URLs, especially when more than 3 tabs are open Crashes are frequent

Iget the impression that versions above 3.6 are intended for use with Vista or Win-7 because they work very poorly/slowly when used with XP (from which I will NOT upgrade because of discrepancies with Vista and -7)

Remove Firefox completely and delete C:/Program files/Mozilla Firefox/ directory also nad run a clean install of Firefox 8 and check
