internet address drop down menu no longer working!?

The address bar where I'd normally type in an internet address is no longer working as a drop down menu.

Normally I'd click on the address bar and a menu would drop down with my usual places that I visit listed for me to select. I've tried re-installing Firefox but to no avail!?

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":

  • Firefox (Tools) > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History, Bookmarks, History and Bookmarks

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
