Crashes all the time since I upgraded to FireFox 4 and up. How do i retuern to older versions?

I reluctantly upgraded, by Yahoo promptings, to FireFox version 4. Since then I have suffered from many hick ups and it has been very frustrating. Now it is worse than ever. 2 crashes in 1.5 hours since I upgraded, foolishly, to version 5.0.1 How can I return to the FireFox pre 4 version? Everything worked there almost seamlessly. What happened guys with the newer versions? I submitted the crash reports every time it happened (details bellow I included 3 reports between July 14-16th because, before it, it was infrequent. Only since I got the latest 5 and up versions it got really bad). Since I upgraded to the 5.0.1 version the crashes are a lot more often instead of stabilizing as you stated about upgrading to 5 and 5.0.1 in order to stabilize the system. Opposite happened. I am using a MAC. I need help, it's impossible to go on like this. Thanks

Thanks I do not want version 4 the problems started since version 4 I want to uninstall Firefox and reinstall the earlier pre 4 version Not sure how to do that And, do you think the crashes can be fixed before I go ahead and do that? All the best
