menu bar, back <-, forward->, reload doesn't work in Firefox 4.0
Ever since I downloaded Firefox 4.0. Sometimes the orange Firefox button disappears & when I customize & try to use the Menu bar when I try to click on it doesn't work or it doesn't even let me customize. Also, the back <-, forward -> & reload buttons on the navigation bar have never worked, so if I made a mistake I can't even go back to the previous page. I already tried uninstalling & downloading it more than once & it doesn't solve the problem. How do I fix this?

It depends on how much space you want for displaying content. With the menu bar enabled, you get the old style Firefox back together with text links to File, Edit, History, Bookmarks, Tools and Help.
If you disable the menu bar, then you get the oblong orange button and have to use arrow to the right of it to access the menus for everything. In the screenshot, the top half of the image is the old style and the bottom half, the new style.
Personally, I use the old style even though it takes up additional space because I find it much more convenient.
To customize, right click a blank part of the toolbar and choose "Customize" from the menu. A panel will open and while it's there, you can drag buttons around to your liking. You can also remove those you don't want including the Search bar by dragging them into that panel. Similarly, you can add those which are already in there to the existing layout.
To get back to an existing page, right click the Back button. If it's greyed out, it means you're on the first page in that tab. In subsequent tabs, there may be history which you can access by right clicking.
If you continue to experience problems with the buttons, try running Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
No script is the culprit. I disabled it in safe mode and browser works fine.
Corel, I know you mean well, but your solution does not work. You keep posting this all over the place but can't you see it isn't helping people? Safe Mode is useless. I have no conflicts with add-ons, extensions or plugins. Those dozens of "places" files that you say must be deleted...that's utterly insane.
Firefox has created a new browser that is buggy in a major league way and they must fix it. If not, I'm going to use another browser and I will uninstall Firefox.
