I have the latest stable firefox? (3.6.12) running on mac snow leopard. I reorganized my bookmarks two days ago and ever since a bookmark or two are getting corrupted. It actually looks like bookmarks from my toolbar menu are missing until I go to organize bookmarks. I can see the offender(s), because it'll be listed, but without information (url etc). When I highlight it, I get no information in the edit text boxes. I can't delete it, I can't edit it, I can't do anything with it. I can move good bookmarks in front of the offender(s) and then those will show again. When I export the bookmarks, the offending problems aren't seen, but since I can't delete them, I can't get them to go away. Some of these are bookmarks I've added in the last day or two. I keep moving the rest of my bookmarks ahead of the bad ones, but the bad list keeps growing. Every time I open Firefox new bookmarks are corrupted. One was the apple store. Now some of those game sites (king.com, pogo.com). Is there a virus on the mac that i'm unaware of?
