Try going to Tools -> Settings -> Home section. ( about:preferences#home ) and next to where is says "Homepage and new windows" in the top drop-down menu, choose "Blank Page".

That should it cause open to a blank page when you start.

I don't know if you'll also have to change the setting in the General section "Open previous windows and tabs" to be off for it to just open to a blank page and not restore your last session at the same time.
