Routing alias emails
I am considering using an email provider that allows several alias for one email account. Even though it is one account, can I set up a way to route each incoming unique alias email to its own Thunderbird Inbox or folder. I think in the Outlook this might be done with creating a filtering "Rule". How do I do similar with Thunderbird? Thank you

You do it the same way: you set up a filter to move the messages to different folders.
