Lost Firefox bookmarks and history

I’ve been having problems with Firefox on my Dell laptop, running Windows 11. (Firefox has been my default browser for years). For the last few weeks, when I opened Firefox, the history sidebar would always appear by default, and I would have to close it manually. Of course, having the sidebar open didn’t seem to affect the functionality of the program, I just found it a tiny bit bothersome.

Recently I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox to see if that would solve the glitch, but it did not. Even worse, I’ve lost ALL my bookmarks and YEARS of browsing history.

Is there ANY way to retrieve them?

In retrospect, the glitch itself was/is just a minor annoyance, but losing my bookmarks and history is devastating‼ Thanks

If you didn't backup the bookmark or history and uninstalled and they disappeared there is no real way to find or recover bookmarks or history back. If there is no jazon file in the folder then chances it's all gone as that might be were it would still be at if that file still was there.
