I have encountered a conflict with my gmail account password and the saved password on the smtp.gmail.com server. How can I recover or change the password saved on the smtp.gmail.com server for my Gmail account?

Thanks for responding. I cannot send from or receive emails into my Gmail account on my computer running Ubuntu. No problem on my iPhone or signing in on Gmail.com website. I can only think there is a conflict with the saved password saved on the smtp.gmail.com server. I will change it if I know how.

Please post your Troubleshooting Information. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button , then select Help > Troubleshooting Information. Press the "Copy text to clipboard button" and paste the information into your reply.
