Več o tem

The newest version of Firefox slowed everything down tremendously. Bookmarks disappeared. Refresh or Restart does not fix it. System Restore fixed it.

After system restore I prevented automatic Firefox updates..... until I can believe that this bug is fixed.

Lucky system restore did that as in most to all cases it does not work.

You may want to do this : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles Also Export Bookmarks as HTML (have had mine since win95) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer

Yes is a glitch, but most people are updating fine.

So if get your Bookmarks out by HTML , you got them. If also did the backup then can import that into new install.

You can always do a another install : This the best way to uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. If do not get a clean install it is that the new installer found your profile (still figuring that out) also installer can be used to update.

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use, but 52.5.0 ESR is! It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

Please remove Shockwave Flash 26.0 r0 as it is a security risk Flash Player Version: 27.0.0.187 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Your bookmarks may not have been missing. The Bookmark button was changed for Firefox 57 and it no longer opens the complete "Bookmarks Menu".

See this for further information about getting the "old" Bookmarks Menu button back on the Toolbar. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/bookmarks-firefox#w_how-do-i-add-the-bookmarks-menu-button-to-the-toolbar

Silly change IMO, which only serves to unnecessarily confuse existing users.

After using System Restore on my desktop and not permitting automatic updates for Firefox 57 I am ok. However, I did the same restore on my laptop, but soon the automatic update takes over anyway and sure enough the computer slows down terribly and seems to lock up. When are the new Firefox versions fixed ?
