Newest version doesn't work with the old flash blocker. Every embedded flash seems to run. Any fixes by Mozilla team? I tried adblocker (doesn't work)

My system autoupdated firefox and the new firefox doesn't work with the old flash blocker. Ad blocker doesn't do the job and I am inundated by embedded flash and ads. If Mozilla doesn't provide a workaround for this, will move to another browser.

hi, not sure what that addon provided over the click-to-play functionality that's already built-in to firefox. you can enable that when you go into the menu ≡ > addons > plugins panel and set flash to ask to activate.

Even with shockwave flash totally disabled, firefox still runs videoclips. Facebook pages of media outlets are the worst offender. What other format could be running? They did not run with the old flash block active.

hmm, perhaps changing the media.autoplay.enabled preference in about:config to false can make a difference... this should apply to videos which are not coming to you through the flash plugin
