I cannot send emails for some reason...the last successful email I sent was on October 8th...as of this morning, I keep getting this message "Login to server outbound.att.net failed." I have not changed anything since the 8th...I can receive emails just fine though...

I started having this same problem with outbound.att.net. At first I was able to send on a 2nd or 3rd try, but now it doesn't work at all. This problem started several weeks ago.
I am able to connect and send mail by using smtp.gmail.com for my att.net messages, but they appear to the recipient as my gmail.com address.
I am able to receive mail from inbound.att.net.
AT&T has so far been unable to help with this. They think the issue is with Thunderbird.
