Ive refreshed, ect. everything I can find yet firefox 'not responding' every few seconds. No longer functional. Help!!!

Please read above. I am taking online college courses, and CANNOT have this to continue. It has crashed i.e. 'not responding' 6 times just while I am typing this message. Ridiculous. Pure garbage. I am about to change my browser if it is not corrected.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?
