In the same menu bar adjacent to the favourites star an icon exists that opens with the name 'Supported sites' and it holdds all the history of sites visited (this is not the history folder). I have the site set not to remember history. Down to brass tacks; all I want to do is permantly get rid of this icon (Supported sites) and it's history. I have started Firefox in safe mode and the icon will not be visible. But, as soon as I re-open firefox yes youve guessed it the bloody icon and all it's contents is still their.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Find that add-on and select Remove.

However, if there is no remove button, then it is a plugin. You will have to remove the main program from your system.

Do you have the Video DownloadHelper extension installed?

This extension can add two (combined) buttons to the toolbar. You can remove the list icon via the Options/Preferences of the extension in about:addons.
