I always get this error and it makes me put in my password again.. when I do it says Sending of password for user wickerhill2@twc.com did not succeed. Mail server mail.twc.com responded: [IN-USE] account is locked by another session or for maintenance, try again.

That message is from the server and not Thunderbird. I've googled the error and there are quite a few reports regarding your error message. eg:

Do you access this account via another device such as a phone? If yes, then perhaps that would explain the 'locked by another session' - maybe the phone / ipad whatever is still got connection?
