Hi,

A friend of mine has shared a Google calendar with me and it does not show up in the calendar app. I have added a Google calendar in the app and my own shows up just fine. The calendars added by Google shows up as well such as week nr and official holidays. The only calendar that seems to be missing is my friends. The web interface for Google calendar shows my friends calendar so the sharing seems to be configured correctly. I guess I could configure my friends calendar as s iCal but it seems like I should not need to do this really.

Thats why I'm asking Is this a bug or is it missconfiguration on my part?

Regards Adrian

Hi AdrianAramaz,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with the visibility of shared calendars in your Firefox OS Calendar application.

I did some tests on different versions of Firefox OS and was able to reproduce the same behavior. I opened a bugzilla ticket #1085084 to track this issue.

In the meantime, if feasible, the event creator may give you special calendar permissions to "Make changes AND manage sharing". In my tests, this permission allowed me to view the events in the Firefox OS Calendar application.

I'm sorry that I wasn't able to find a better, more permanent solution, but I hope that you find this information helpful.

Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Firefox OS device, and thank you for reporting this issue!

Hi Ralph,

Thank you! This solved the problem and thanks for filing a bug regarding this issue. Should I mark this thread as solved? My issue is solved but the real issue is not solved.

Hi AdrianAramaz,

Marking this thread as resolved lets us know that, in the user's point of view, we did everything that could be done in our powers to assist the user.

Sometimes, like in this case, the best possible solution (resolving the bug) is not within the reach of Support. When this happens, we try to be proactive and file bugs to get the root-issue addressed.

Thanks for asking about this, and I hope I was able to make sense of it. =)

Please let us know if you have any other questions or issues with your Firefox OS device.

Cheers!

- Ralph
