Greetings,

Following a recent Ubuntu update from 20.04 to 22.04, Firefox 129.0.2 has started spamming my syslog with messages like:

[Parent 39719, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: process 262891 is a zombie: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc:245

These seem harmless, but I'd like to identify a way to suppress the warnings, because they're mucking up my syslog. Is there a setting in about:config that would do that? I see lots of log-related settings there set to Warn, but have no idea which one could silence the warnings I'm seeing. Any tips or suggestions are much appreciated!

I have been using Pocket for FF on my Windows 10 desktop for a long time. Recently, I am no longer able to view my SAVED articles. Surprisingly, I can view the ARCHIVED articles, but when I click on SAVES it says," Oops, something went wrong" Same problem on Chrome desktop. But my Android phone allows me to see my SAVES. Any idea?? I sign into Pocket with my FF account.

Hello! After being away from my PC for a few days I tried to open firefox and got this error:

'Firefox is al actief, maar reageert niet. Het oude Firefox-proces moet worden afgesloten om een nieuw venster te openen' aka 'Firefox is already running but not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window'

I deleted the application in windows settings and then redownloaded it. The problem persists. What can I do?

I've been researching for a long time how it’s possible to save a website as a PDF with Firefox by keeping the hyperlinks active. The applications that Firefox offers are inadequate. This means that if I want to save pages on different sites outside of the web search, they are not saved correctly as PDFs. There are applications that also keep hyperlinks active, but with the problem that the scaling of a page no longer corresponds to what it actually has. Alternatively, reference is often made to other browsers such as Chrome or Opera. I know it's running there as it should be, but I want to keep using Firefox. When I search on YouTube I only find trivial things like how to save a PDF in general. I already know how to save PDFs in general, but it is explicitly possible that hyperlinks also remain active which seems like nobody is interested in. This is a major problem. I just don't understand why something as trivial as an A4 sized page of hyperlinks requires 7+ hours of fruitless research? It seems like I'm someone who's only interested in simply having an HTML to PDF with active hyperlinks. Do any of you have experience with this situation? I would like to mention that I also tried wkhtmltopdf. But the conversion with this tool is cumbersome and is no longer necessary for “just a quick save”. My question: How is it possible?

When I log in as admin to my wordpress website, firefox gets stuck in an endless reload loop.

https://imgur.com/hnjbGGe

Sometimes if I clear the browser history or open a private window, I can successfully log in and load a page - once. The page seems to load normally but there are 409 errors shown for many of the files in the developer tools.

https://imgur.com/uTugRTC

If I reload the page again, it goes back to the endless loop.

This started when I installed a wordpress caching plugin, but the problem is specific to firefox, so I don't really know whether firefox or the plugin is actually responsible.

How could firefox be getting 409 errors when other browsers get normal 200 responses for the same resources?

Why is firefox triggering this reload loop, and is there a way I can stop it?

I am using the latest release of FIREFOX (in French), with Windows 10, regularly updated.

FIREFOX worked fine when I turned off my desktop on august 10. The next morning, Firefox could not connect to ANY website. I get a message telling me that "the secure connection has failed": PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR (see screenshot).

EDGE and CHROME work fine but cannot update to the latest version [Error OX 80072EFE] (see screenshot) THUNDERBIRD works fine.

I tried all sorts of solutions found on reliable websites. None of them worked. - Turning the router OFF then ON - Using Firefox "self-repair" mode - Uninstalling Firefox, then reinstalling a new, "clean" version - Checking the system clock (it is fine) - Turning OFF Microsoft Windows Defender - Turning OFF Kaspersky Anti Virus - Reinstalling Kaspersky's certificate in Firefox - Checking Firefox certificates in Windows' firewall

Can anyone please find a solution? I share Mozilla's philosophy and would hate to say goodbye to Firefox, but…

Starting just yesterday, and I have no clue what caused this to happen in the first place, my entire firefox browser, so tabs, toolbar, everything, is no longer functioning properly with the windows scale display settings I have anymore. For example, I have 2 monitors, one is a 1920x1080 monitor with 100% scaling applied, and the other one (my main monitor) is a 2560x1440 monitor with 125% scaling applied. I have the scaling settings applied like this because the normal resolution for 2k monitors is too small for me to read anything, so scaling it up by 125% makes the browser about identical on both monitors. It used to automatically scale the firefox browser to the monitor whenever I dragged them to the other monitor, but now the firefox just stays at 125% zoom no matter what monitor I swap it to (this is windows scaling zoom, not firefox tab zoom). So on my 2k monitor, it looks fine, but on my 1920x1080 monitor, it still retains the 125% zoom from my other monitor, making it way over zoomed. I've tried changing layout.css.devPixelsPerPx but that just makes the browser scaling static across monitors, so I've since swapped it back to -1.0

Is there any way I can fix this? the difference in scaling between the monitors is way too massive to be able to use firefox comfortably. Attached I have two screenshots showing the difference in scaling.

Windows 11, Firefox 129.02

I've done both a refresh and a clean install and the problem persists. Fonts set to "allow site to substitute"

In Google Maps (maps.google.com), the street names and route numbers (graphic) disappear after a second. This happens in both regular and incognito windows, and regardless of zoom level.

Oddly, when I set privacy.resistFingerprinting in about:config to True, the street names appear, but route numbers are just color boxes. When set to False, I can see both for a second before they disappear.
