A Question Regarding The Plugin Check and Java
Upon checking my plugins for updates, I noticed that the Java plugin was being read as Vulnerable. However, I also noticed that Firefox is aware of the issue, so that's good and the issue isn't with that.
However, I am curious about two things. 1) What exactly is causing the checker to read Java as Vulnerable? 2) Seeing as I check my plugins 1-2 times a week, how will I know if the checker is fixed? As in, how can I tell if it's just "still going wrong" and not just asking me for a legitimate update?

There's a note displayed prominently on the Plugin Check page. The note will be removed once the issue is solved. You can also keep track of any progress on the following bug report.
To ensure Java is up-to-date, make sure the auto-update feature is enabled.
However, keep in mind that Java is not JavaScript. It's not required by most sites and you shouldn't have it installed if you don't know for a fact that you need it.
Oracle has released the Java 8 version for developers and the Mozilla plugin check page recognizes this Java version as up-to-date and signals the 7U55 Java version as outdated.
