So up until recently flash and firefox have been not behaving. I would get constant lock up s when loading a page with flash videos on them, it would freeze for anywhere form 30 seconds to 2 minutes. then come back and say flash has crashed. This behavior even persisted through a full system format(Change to an SSD so format was for that), so finally got fed up with all of this nonsense, and uninstaled flash and tried to reinstall it. This lead to upgrading to Flash 11.1.102.63 but now every flash site I visit is giving me an error saying I need to install flash. Chrome has no issues with video so I'm not sure what's going on.

Well it appears that Flash isn't properly installed (there are two versions of flash, one that is ActiveX for Ie, and another for all other browsers, of which you need the 32 bit version).

Try to download it from here.

Chrome has a built in Flash plugin, so you can't uninstall it (easily).

Well that got flash reinstalled(Why offer a 64 bit version if it doesn't work?) Stability is still a problem though.

The 64 bit version is for 64 bit browsers (there is an experimental Firefox built in x64, but it is nowhere near prime-time yet). What stability issues are you having?

Frequently videos will just not play, they'll show buffered, but not play. Also very frequent flash crashes when more than one tab opened with a flash video. Though starting to wonder if thats a memory issue since I get warnings now saying firefox is using alot of memory and sure enough task manager shows 1-500 megabytes used.

I believe I have this symptom too but after locking up for 1-4 minutes, my adobe plugin does not crash. I have also found that removing the adobe plugin will do nothing unless you completely remove it from your system (there are some files in the AppData folder and the ProgramFiles folder to remove). Once I did that, firefox was working again with the Flash plugin. Until today when I got Adobe's update 9.5mb and it began freezing again. Since Mozilla only wants to blame the plugin maker yet this only happens on Firefox, I am moving to Chrome. If Mozilla decides this needs to be fixed or a new Adobe plugin comes out, I might try it again. I suppose that will be quick since they for whatever reason make Major Version releases every month..
