Why can't I download links in Ff 6.0.2 that used to download easily in Ff 3.6?

Asked this question 3 weeks ago, but no response.

Links that were quickly accessed before, like www.washingtonpost.com and movies.nytimes.com, no longer show up.

When I use an alternate browser--IE--the same links pop up right away. But, of course, I'd much rather see them in Firefox, my 1st choice browser, not IE, which is not my choice.

Does not bode well, however, that the Ff upgrade 6.0.2 is not up to delivering websites it once downloaded easily!

I'm not seeing a problem on my system. There is a chance that your profile has been corrupted. Try running in Safe Mode, and see if that helps.

Hi, Matt2--

Thank you for your suggestion. I didn't run Safe Mode because it would be a dauntingly long process to disable and then re-enable each add-on while checking after I had disabled each which one actually had afflicted the websites mentioned.

But your response alerted me to the likelihood that it could be an add-on, not Ff 6.0.2, that might be the culprit.

As a result I simply removed the add-on--Delicious, in this case--I intuited might be responsible for the websites' no-shows.

That worked!

Again, thank you for your wise suggestion, Matt2, marlem388
