For the past while, there have been several sites that leave the message that they cannot be located and yet when I use Google as my browser, everything works as it should.

Are you using a proxy or VPN?
You can check the connection settings.
- Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
See "Firefox connection settings":

You can also try to toggle DNS over HTTPS to see if that makes a difference.
I have Avast VPN but it was turned off when I experienced the problem. I have tried all the solutions suggested ((changed to no proxy, enabled dns over https, all recent history is empty (it is automatically deleted on leaving Firefox), changed Web Client to run automatically)) - all with the sane result "the requested URL was not found on this server". However if I use Chrome as my browser, all is well and it works as it should. I have been a long time user of Firefox and would like to continue using it BUT if we cannot find a solution to this problem I will be changing my default browser to something other than Firefox. It would help us help you if you provided examples of the issue, screenshots, and or steps to replicate.
When I go to the website rvpluscard.com i do get to the home page but when I go to log in I get the error message "the requested URL was not found on this server". When I switch to a different provider, everything works. Larry I'm not sure of what screenshots could be helpful to you?
