New Tabs Do not Load, have to restart Firefox to get working

Firefox browser has become more and more unstable. When opening a new tab where it be opening a link in a new tab or a new tab and going to a website. It just does not go anywhere and then eventually all my other tabs stop working as well. I am at the point of moving to a different browser, what can we do to fix this?
