I select manual update yet the rotten things still updates itself every damn time and I have to reset my settings.

Really ticking me off and if it doesn't cease I will no longer use it.

Hi rmontey53,

Assuming your are using the same Firefox version. Go to settings - General and scroll down to Firefox Updates. Select the option: Check for updates but let you choose to install them and unselect: Use a background service to install updates.
