part of the problem is that the tabs are '''SHORTER!''' and i can only hit the "x" of the tab i am currently on, even when i only have two tabs open

Hi, to fix this go to about:config and change the number of the preference browser.tabs.tabMinWidth to 100

yup this fixed the problem
