This does not answer my question. It appears that Mozilla is doing nothing to fix this problem. i would say that it is time to find a more reliable browser,

What you do not realise is that with a userbase of about 1/2 Billion if something only affects 1% or 1/100 th of 1percent of users it is still Millions of users. Googling for something shows Google is good at picking up the vocal minority, not that the majority of users have that problem.

The problem you mention could have one of many causes. What you need to be concerned about is identifying and fixing your problem.

So if the program doesn't work properly, everyone that has this problem, "Millions of users" according to John99, should become a programmer and fix it themselves? it's much easier to find another browser.

But that is not what   John99   is saying.

The problem is not necessarily caused by the browser.
How to identify and possibly fix the problem is mentioned in the article that   Scribe gave you a link to.
Just give it a try;   who knows:   it just might cheer you up   !

John started by sayng: " What you do not realise is that with a userbase of about 1/2 Billion if something only affects 1% or 1/100 th of 1percent of users it is still Millions of users.

I had already tried the items in the article that Scribe sent the link to.

Continue had no effect. It happens across many different websites and not every time I use them. I do not use Spy Sweeper. I also checked and updated my plug-ins. Most computor users are not interested in doing all this work to make a program work.

Yes, I know that Firefox is free but if you want people to use it, it has to be user friendly.

My initial question has not been answered directly. By the responses given, it seems that the issue can only be fixed by someone who has some knowledge of software and computor programming.

I am using default them and will move on to try safe mode, extension troubleshooting and hardware acceleration as nothing has worked yet.

You do not need to be a computer expert to use Firefox.

We will gladly try to help you with your Firefox problem. I am just trying to explain it is not a single problem affecting millions of people it is many different problems causing a somewhat similar error message. And also that I and the vast majority of users do not see such a message.

Can you say what the exact message is that you get please. You also say it happens on many sites do you ever see that message when you are on this support site.

It may help if you can get a screenshot of the error message.

We do not know all the software you use but if you try Firefox in its own safe mode and with all plugins disabled do you still get the message.

Can you give some indication of how often you see this do you see it most of the time you use Firefox or only some days and not others for instance.
