Safari has a feature that on their welcome page are small boxes that are links to websites you often go to which is so helpful. Can I do this with Firefox? I dont want to type in my goto sites every time, especially if I go to them every day. Thank you!!

I haven't used Safari in a good number of years so I don't know what features it has. The default Firefox Start Page / Homepage is built into Firefox code and has no user configurable elements where the user can add anything; however it does load some information from a secure Mozilla server that changes from time to time.

But you can set whatever you want to be "your" homepage that appears each time you open Firefox relatively easily. See - How to set the home page

You can consider to set the home page to about:newtab.

See this article about the New Tab page (about:newtab):

You can change the order of the boxes on the about:newtab page and drag an item to a different tile to pin it to that position or you can remove a website by clicking the close X to block that URL. You can drag a bookmark or history item from the sidebar and drop it in a tile on the about:newtab page to pin this item and have your own favorites sites present.

Changes made manually on the about:newtab page are stored in prefs that you can find on the about:config page.
