Since Malwarebytes could not resolve how and why did this problem crop up in TB?
This partial "Enter your password for johnsmith@sbcglobal.net on pop.att.yahoo.com" appears very frequently when accessing TB or Write.. I have and can provide a screen shot of this window appearing in Thunderbird. Hopefully this can be resolved.

What about this made you think it's something that an anti-malware suite could handle?
Try removing any and all passwords associated with this account.
Tools|Options|Security|Passwords→Saved Passwords
Since this small window kept appearing very frequently when I accessed Thunderbird it had to be a bug embedded in C:// or even a cookie. Nothing showed up in Results. In Yahoo Search Web there was a mention made that it was a Malware. Therefore I used my Malwarebytes with no success and also their Chameleon same result. You are my hope. Steve
