How can the little green plus stop appering in my searchbar? I dont want anythin else than Google there. Since the last update it is not possible to doble click old text in the searchbar to mark it all. It is super annoying, when you double click only the word under the mousepoiner gets marked.

In the search bar and various other places, you can triple-click to select the entire (multi-word) contents.

If you prefer the old style search bar and want to roll back the clock to Firefox 33 times, here's the way:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box that appears above the list, type or paste search and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.search.showOneOffButtons preference to switch it from true to false

This doesn't affect the current window, but each new window you open (Ctrl+n) will have the old Search bar.
