I have recently updated to Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 and get the following Application Error every time I log into Frirefox: The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000710) occurred in the application at location 0x722ca389. Click OK to terminate the program. After I've done this, the news video etc will play perfectly well, but it is very annoying when it keeps popping up. I have tried uninstalling the plug in and installing an earlier version, but that doesn't help either. I have even tried using a 'restore point' on my laptop, but that didn't work. What can I do to make the plugin work properly?

I have Google Chrome, and I don't get a problem opening news videos etc on that, but I don't like Chrome and prefer to use Firefox.

My version of Firefox is 30.0 and I am using Windows 7 on my laptop.

Type about:addons in URL and Goto Plugins

  • Check all the plugins are "Always Active"

Somewhere on the page right click, go to view page info > permissions and make sure that adobe flash content is allowed to play on that domain.

Flash in Protected mode occurs issues too

Thanks for your advice. I was hoping to get something easy which would solve the problem as I'm 72 years old and all the things you suggested look highly technical to me, so I will wait until younger family member can help me. When I had same problem with earlier versions of Flash Player (11) somewhere I found a page on Adobe Flash Player which told me how to fix it and since then I didn't accept any updates until the latest Adobe update. I tried unistalling and going back to the old 11.8 version, but now that doesn' t work either and gives me even more errors. Should I uninstall Firefox and re-install it and if I do will I lose all my bookmarks etc? Thanks
