I am running Firefox v101.0.1 (64-bit) on Linux (Pop!_OS, installed as a flatpak). I am using the default system theme in dark mode, though switching to the Firefox dark theme or other themes does not change anything. When I allow the Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, etc.) to be present, the browser tabs on the next line are aligned correctly, going all of the way to the left. When I uncheck the Menu Bar, however, a gap appears to the left of the tabs. I have not seen this behavior on Firefox in other environments (Debian, RHEL, Windows), and I'm wondering if there's a way I can remove that gap. I have attached screenshots showing how the tabs are aligned with and without the Menu Bar.

Hi all. Did a search but found nothing that helped. Just updated my Fedora 36 workstation and tried to play videos in CNN and MSNBC web sites and get the error message: "Code: 4 | Message: Something went wrong during native playback." I am using the latest Firefox WEB browser. UTube videos are playing fine. Someone has stated on the Fedora forum that they have the same problem but has no problem in Chrome on the same machine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Bob BTW, this happened in two machines running Fedora 36 and Firefox 101.0.

When I try and open some articles on the BBC new wesite I get the attached message. How can that be resolved please? VPN is off. I've got about 10 bookmarks with links to support pages each about adjusting specific about:config setting to my needs. My job also requires me to change systems lots of times, from Mac to windows to Linux. Is there an easy way I can save my personal about:config changes to a file for easy import on other systems?

A few days ago Firefox started opening in a small window in the upper left corner of the screen. This problem was earlier also posted by other users. So I have read all these topics and suggested solutions.

This is what I have tried: - removing xulstore.json - compatebility tab in properties - manipulating overlapping squares icon and dragging window to almost full screen - Reinstalling Firfox ( without removing Firefox completely on forehand)

So far nothing resolves this problem.

For the past few days I get the request to enter captcha characters every time I try to access the Amazon website using Firefox on my Win10 PC. It works fine on my Firefox for android on my phone and also works fine using the Edge browser on this PC.

I've tried resetting Firefox. I've tried troubleshooting mode. I've tried turning off enhanced tracking. What else could cause Amazon.com to feel the need to verify that I am not a robot ?

Using Mac OS 12.4 and Firefox 101.0.1. After launching Firefox, a second icon appears in the "recently used" apps section of the Mac OS dock (see attached screen shot). The icon stays there and goes away, and then comes back, and then goes away, etc. This continues on and on until Firefox is closed.

Why is this happening? Never acted this way before the latest updates.

Currently running MacOS Montery but the problem was still occurring on previous versions.

Whenever I use the green top left button to enter full-screen, the app immediately freezes and either crashes or has to be manually force quit. There are no reports in about:crashes and I there has been no success with troubleshooting mode or switching versions of the Firefox application.

Machine Info: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) Processor: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 Memory: 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Any help towards a solution would be appreciated. Thanks!

i own a macbook and have recently switched from chrome to firefox- in my mac settings, it hasnt given firefox the permissions to use my microphone or camera. it doesnt show up the usual list to be able to allow the permissions. i've enabled microphone and camera permissions for the websites i want through firefox, but i cant even unmute myself. i think i need firefox to give me a popup and ask for microphone permissions, but it hasnt done that- and even if it did, i think it would show up in the list for allowing permissions through my mac settings (it shows applications that have requested for microphone access).

When I click on the Firefox icon to start browsing, the Zoom meeting program opens automatically! How do I prevent that from happening?

Hello, Few days ago I noticed that Firefox started complaining about self-signed certificate issues, although I added my CA certificate to authorities months ago. It worked without any problem, but now I'm unable to open any of my internal sites anymore.

I tried to open a random site in Chrome, but the same issue. So you immediately will say the is in the certificate, but wait. I have few VMs running on Virtualbox, so I decided to test in there. Guess what, no issues at all. I tried in Fedora 25 (the Firefox version is below 100), then tried Windows 100. Both worked. Then I decided to update FF to the latest version, guess what - it broke again =]]

So something has changed, but I really don't have a clue what causes the issue. I attach the screenshot of detailed CA view from Firefox.

Following direction on Help Page - Trying to sync tabs, bookmarks etc from one laptop to another. In settings, devices are said to be logged in and sync set to sync pretty much everything. Clicking the menu top right - only shows my email @ the top, then New Tab etc - but nothing about "Sync Now" or "Sign In" What am I missing? TIA, Jean

After upgrading to v101, Firefox no longer recognizes my Self-signed wildcard SSL for *.local.dev.

Before you tell me not to use the .dev domain, I am aware that Google owns it and we're technically not supposed to do local development with the *.local.dev domain.

I have already tried the following: 1. Set network.stricttransportsecurity.preloadlist to FALSE, and everything was working perfectly fine before v101 2. imported the server.crt into Trusted Root Authorities in Windows, and also imported it in the Certificate manager in Firefox. 3. Tried other wildcard local domains like *.test.site, *.local.ddev and these don't work either.

I even tried following recent guides to issue a new certificate with openssl and SAN, and it still doesn't work.

Audio was working fine until recently. Now, firefox has no audio playing on any site.

Some sites show "PLAYING" in tab, but others like YouTube don't show that notification. Even with "PLAYING", there is no audio output.

I checked Windows settings and Firefox is set up correct (and the same as it was before it stopped working), see screenshot attached. Otherwise, I restarted Firefox, tried it in troubleshoot mode, and reinstalled Firefox. No changes.

Possible system changes include: Maybe a Firefox update occured and broke the program? I installed the game Civ5 from Steam which required some Windows VS redistributibles installed.

Hello Please explain to me how to transfer tabs from desktop to Android phone because there is no option on my desktop browser settings and no matter how much I sync, the desktop tabs will not be transferred to the phone again. please guide me

Hi! There are multiple recent threads on this issue, and not one of them has a solution, so I'm asking again. I want to increase the font size of the top header text, specifically the bookmarks toolbar, search bar, and tab titles. The text is too small for me to read. It would also be useful if I could increase the font size for the applications menu (the hamburger drop down menu in the far right of the header).

I do not want to increase the size of anything else, so changing layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is not the solution. I have changed my global zoom settings, and set them specifically to "Zoom text only", but this setting does not effect the bookmarks toolbar or the search bar. Changing the default font size also does not increase the size of this text.

so firefox I am logged out, you can tell where it say "save and sync - sign in". but even though I am not signed in, my passwords and addons are still showing up.

how to fix this
