I'm on Linux, Zorin OS, which is Ubuntu based if I'm not mistaken, very new to Linux.

Anyway, I've made a userChrome.css and done some changes I like to Firefox. It has been working fine until I tried to change the tab bar's overflow shadows when there are more tabs than there is space in the bar.

The rest of the css edits I've made in userChrome.css works fine but this overflow shadow reference Firefox just doesn't grab. I can live edit with the Toolbox and then it works fine, but when opening Firefox as default this css definition is as if gone.

I am using Firefox 125 in Windows 11. And this just happens recently.

Sometimes, quite frequently, when I click the addressbar wanting to input or select a new address. The Firefox UI freezes (before the dropdown list of addresses is shown). The video/audio/other effects are still working, and from task manager, it does not cost more CPU/mem than usual. But it does not response to key press or mouse action. All I can do (that I know of) is killing the processes. The problem does not seem related to "current" webpage I am browsing. And I have not installed new addons for a few months.

Any idea what should I look into?

I am trying to add custom search engines to Firefox. I have tried the steps given in the forum thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1212596.

However when I try to go and add the search engine as per the article given above I do not get the option. Please see the attached screen shot for more details. I do not want to add an extension or a plugin, but just manually have the option of adding search engines.

Ok-So this popup window popped up when I returned to Firefox. I don't think it's legit and I am wondering how I go about blocking it permanently. I searched the settings but didn't see where I could post the URL so that is why I am posting this here.

I keep hitting sites where menus and selection boxes turn into unreadable Wing Dings? On W11 and cleared and rest the font cache in Windows and still repeatedly seeing the issue?

Need help figuring out why Firefox has a memory leak after an extended use of Firefox browsing. Don't know if its the result of an extension having this issue, or if its a Firefox bug. not sure if this is where i should be but i tried the Thunderbird help and got no answer. After the most recent Thunderbird up date and a Thunderbird install over existing one when i go to my drafts folder and click on any draft or save message in there i get a yellow bar at the bottom of the page that i have never seen before . Now i do not want recreate a new profile and lose all my contacts book marks add on etc. how do i remove that yellow bar in Thunderbird mail

When I view my bank statement in Firefox, everything appears fine, but when I print the statement, all occurrences of boldfce "S" on the printout are blank. This problem does not occur with Google. Running macOS Catalina, all maintenance applied, Firefox is at 125.0.3.

Firefox takes about 5 minutes to load every it launches, before working smoothly like it should. This problem occured first time yesterday morning, and I have no idea what could have caused it.

It happens :

• when I launch firefox normally (whatever the profile)
• when I launch it from the terminal (it provides no output at all)
• when I tell it to launch the Profile Manager (5 minutes to see the Profile Manager appear, then 5 more minutes to launch firefox using the selected profile)

It does not happen :

• when I click "New Window" inside an existing firefox process
• when I call `firefox --help` from the terminal

Here's what I've tried :

• First, I've seen pretty much every article from Mozilla Support, Reddit or SuperUser (writing this question is kind of my last resort)
• I've tried removing and then reinstalling Firefox from Flatpak, from the Fedora repos (using `sudo dnf install firefox`) and using the manual install via the archive (v125)
• I've tried downgrading firefox (when using the package manager install) from v125 to v124
• I've also tried the Firefox Developer Edition, same problem here
• I've tried using the "Refresh Firefox" feature and restarting in Troubleshoot Mode (both are also affected by the slow startup, which makes them particularly painful to execute)
• I've tried manually deleting the `~/.mozilla/` folder (= manually deleting my profiles)

When firefox launches, it does not freezes my OS and does not seem to use many system ressources : CPU usage is normal, RAM as well, and it does not seem to read many things from the disk as well (I've seen some threads where this was the issue).

And here is something interesting that I discovered :

• loading (including refreshing) `about:profiles` is also slow and this time freezes firefox (OS reports it as not responding, I can't switch tabs and I can't see my mouse). Other about pages seem to work fine (although I did not try them all)

PS : Even if I think it has nothing to do with the issue, I prefer to mention it here : I was messing with virtual machines yesterday when the issue occured for the first time. My disk got full at some point and I don't know but it might have messed with firefox. At this stage, I had not deleted any files that could relate somehow to Firefox, that's why I doubt it would have caused anything harmful to Firefox. (instead, I mounted an empty partition from my disk to get some space)

Thru Firefox, I use Tineye to find related photos - I use it all the time, it's been great - I always use a VPN and have never had problems until now (as of yesterday). Now it won't search, a verify you're human window comes up, and I have to keep clicking squares, which I do - but then it says to allow cookies and start over. Well I don't want to allow cookies (I assume it's one of the options I have thru Firefox to block cookies), and I can't find where to allow cookies even if I did (I went to Firefox preferences etc) and I don't want to disable my VPN. Maybe I should mention that I just added or started a Mozilla account, as I have had immense trouble with my aol emails, and am trying to move everything over to a gmail account. My sign in to Firefox was the aol email, and I had to (try, I thought I did it) add another account, which I think I did successfully. So it was right after that, that all this started. Help please! I downloaded the new update this morning and I cannot separate my categories any longer on my home page. I keep them in categories on the 4 separate rows and then separate them by skipping a square. I cannot do that any longer and do not like the jumble of the homepage now. How can I keep the blank spaces that are located at the bottom of the rows to separate my categories?

Since upgrading to the last version, 125.0.3 I'm getting tab crashes. Is there any way to go to a previous version? I have not had any issues with the websites I'm visiting until this new version of Firefox.

Urgent Help Please as lost ALL EMAILS - I cannot get to post in Thunderbird: 1) I've now spent 4 hours, (from what was trying to sort a 'simple' problem on the server), as I couldn't send or receive any emails, as they think I've 6.5Gb of data on it, in spite of my deleting all my emails off it. So they allowed some extra space to temp sort it again. It's been an issue for about 3mths now. But I deleted everything just the other day having confirmed that was not deleting them off my laptop and that the previously lost emails 2 yrs ago weren't still on their server.

But now checked back on my email client Thunderbird, and I've no emails. They're all GONE bar the odd few I've put into folders (I stopped using folders years back as that lost all my emails way back then!), so I'd been keeping them all in the Inbox. Although I've a few old Inbox files with previous old old emails in so I can access them if I need to. But at least their there! But now again I've just lost everything. This is such a disaster.

Over the last 2yrs it's been going OK until today. Now it's LOST ALL MY EMAILS. I'm as per usual up to my eyes and have to travel this friday for meetings next week. The last thing I needed today was this. I've lost so much data and info in those emails it's doesn't bare thinking about. From show tickets that I need, medical info and data, to flight details to all sorts of crucial data. My ONLY saving grace is that anything I've replied to, I have a copy in the sent folder.

So Please Forgive this being in Firefox, as I can't even add it to Thunderbird help area!! I've had to reset my pw too just to sign in. Sadly right now it all feels so very upsetting I'm thinking I'll have to just have to start using another email client! If every 2 yrs I lose all my emails then this is just not acceptable. I hope you can move this to the Thunderbird threads. If you do please send me a link to it so I can try and find it.

What's so upsetting is had I saved the Inbox file when I saw the 13Gb file size, a bit eariler then, I think I could have saved them. I fear though that the remote server people deleted something, that was somehow still linked to my system and that's meant they've deleted my emails off my laptop too! Terrifying! (Perhaps that is what happened before back in '22. ???) I did look at a 'Sync' settings but not sure what they did so cancelled back out of them.

Running on Win 10 Pro 64Bit i7core 8Gb Ram Thunderbird 115.10.1 (64-bit)

Sub issue to get help : 2) Error to Sumbit to Thunderbird: Sadly I've gone around and around your system saying Ask Question when nothing answers my query on the Thunderbird email questions. But when you click on Ask Question it just takes you back around the system again / Browse all Programs / re click on thunderbird/ reclick on Emails and back to list of FAQ's but nothing helps so click on Get Help and back around you go in a deja vu system.

Hi All,

I would like the content area of my tabs moved up so that the box is filled with the actual tab color, without the white background, and also the text will be vertically centered. Right now, the text is dropping too close to the bottom of the tab.

Had this looking very nice in FF 88 with the same code, as you can see in the attached images, but it seems to render differently in FF 115 ESR and FF 125.

Below is some code I used to style the tabs, but the problem exists without this code as well.

I've also included some "tabs on bottom" code I'm using as well at the very bottom.

Would sure like to get those Classic Toolbar Buttons working again too (shown in the second image), but that will be a later request :)

Any help is appreciated.

Problem with using space bar when trying to post replies on YT or other sites. Can key text, but space bar does not work. On Google search page, can get only one space between words. Tried 2 different keyboards w/same problem. Doesn't seem to happen on Chrome or Safari. Re-installed Firefox with same results. Any thoughts, please? Thank you.

I deleted the old user names and passwords associated with my bank account. Now I can no longer login to my bank acct using Firefox. Only with another browser.

I tried to uninstall then reinstall Firefox but the problem continues. What to do now to login to my bank account?

My name is Grey, and I'm experiencing an issue using Firefox as a browser to open my Outlook mail. For the past three days I have not been able to open any emails as a network error screen appears. Using other devices and other browsers like Edge, the emails open fine, so it is not actually a network issue. This problem only occurs using Firefox, and specifically with Outlook emails. Everything else functions fine and I have not made any changes, besides the regular Firefox update. My computer is also up to date.

What can I do about this issue? I appreciate the advice,

Whenever I type in a website URL in the search-bar, first of all, the drop-down menu of related searches and websites does not show up. When I press enter to confirm that's where I want to go, nothing happens. The URL just kinda sits there, no loading circle or anything... Just a blank page. Only two of the icons on my toolbar works. The "Account" icon, which takes me to my Firefox settings. And my Extensions icon. Clicking the three little lines does nothing. The only websites i have been able to get to work at all are the settings page, and the Firefox troubleshooting page. I'm using Version 125.0.3, I tried using the browser both with and without hardware acceleration with results being unremarkably the same. I restarted Firefox and my computer multiple times to no avail, and the only thing I could find out of the ordinary was an error with Importing data from Microsoft Edge, which was not something I consciously wanted to do, but there was an error that popped up regarding that when i went to the settings page.

All that being said, I'm confused and at a loss for options, and could really use a Mozilla Staff member or someone who knows what they're doing to work me through this.

79 files taking 590MB created in 3 minutes, out of nowhere. Why were all these large files created?
