How do I adjust the spacing so that the squares show in full on the side? I tried grabbing the darker gray bar, but that doesn't work. So what have they changed it to?… (читать ещё)

So what have they changed it to? Cause that is irritating.

Supernova removed any way to return to Start Page

Hi! Love Thunderbird to bits, and the new updated interface is sooooooooo nice! Thank you ALL!

But I can not seem to find a way to go to the Start Page, other than restarting Thunderbird.

The Go Menu mentioned in the article below is not there anymore. And I can not find a Home button when customizing the toolbars.

Is this a me problem, or something that will be added as we go along?

Following an automatic update the other day, everything in Thunderbird is oversized. There are in fact some things I can no longer see at all! The program has become very difficult to us to read/write emails. See the image below, a full-screen capture showing the problem . There must be a line to edit in the fonfig file to make the display look normal again. Please help me find that line!! Thunderbird stopped communicating with homtail after upgrading to v 115.0 I can send emails using smtp-mail.outlook.com but it fails to retrieve messages from outlook.office365.com There's no error message, it simply fails to connect. (A pop-up window may appear for a few seconds, then it closes, with no new messages downloaded and no errors shown) I'm using the POP setting. Tried to recreate the account as IMAP - it just shows "checking password", would not proceed any further. (No error message, no timeouts. I tried to enter incorrect password on purpose - still no error message, apparently they don't even connect.) Disabling firewall doesn't help. EVERYTHING WORKED FINE BEFORE THE UPGRADE! PLEASE BRING BACK THE WAY IT WAS!!!

The quickfilter is broken is a particular manner:

   some characters can be entered in the quickfilter-box.
   other characters (i.e. 'r', 'o'  the reply-shortcut key?) fail to be inserted/loses focus, and instead the reply- or open-message-action is initiated for the selected message.

I have not tested this extensively, but the issue shows up on my Win10 32-bit system

Every year in this season Thunderbird ESR(!!!) switches to a new version. Every year the new version is a lot worse of previous. Every year it introduces a lot of cosmetical changes that tha majority of users haven't requested nor approve. You're incompetent developers. You're ignorant men.

This version has changed a setting: I don't want that Thunderbird update itself automatically but you think that you know what it's better for me! You are morons! Regards

Can I get back to the main layout as it was prior to the Supernova update?

I LIKE the list of correspondents and being able to simply click the dot to mark something as unread etc. etc. etc. Things like this allow me to group and highlight things I need t address.

Truly - the layout in Supernova is terrible and, h0nesty, after many many years as a loooong tie TBird user (like since early-mid 90's) I'm probably going to look around for something else if I'm stuck with this supernova layout.

Thunderbird recently upgraded (?) to Version 15 on my Windows 10 laptop. Since them, when I go to look at the "Trash" folder, I get the message: "Unable to open the summary file for Trash on username@gmail.com. Perhaps there was an error on disk, or the full path is too long." I was able to fix it temporarily by restarting Windows 10, but the error is back a few hours later.

This just started tonight: I'm running TBird 115. I have several email accounts downloading to a unified local folder. With previous versions, I could click on the Download email icon and select individual accounts to download. I can't find an option for downloading individual accounts in the 115 GUI. Is that gone?

Congratulations, between the latest Firefox patch and the gad awful 115 Thunderbird, I can no longer access ANY of my emails, current incoming ones or old saved ones nor my calendar. I want to try out v115, but I'm quite sure it doesn't support the themes/plugins I'm used to (Darko, Mailbox Alert, Manually sort folders, tbkeys-lite).

Before I download and try v115, are there any things I need to perform so that it doesn't overwrite v102 to work alongside, until I know the new version suits my needs?

I couldn't find anything on this "try out", but I suppose it should be possible - you may want to add this to the blog post because I bet many people want to see it in action but are afraid to make their currently stable mail workflow break.

Using TB 115.3.1box. (64 bit). Problems with Inbox

I have 2 problems with the TB Inbox. 1. When a message is marked as read and I go to another folder, the message is gone when I return to the inbox. The missing messag… (читать ещё)

I have 2 problems with the TB Inbox.

1. When a message is marked as read and I go to another folder, the message is gone when I return to the inbox. The missing message is not in trash or any other folder. Edit> Undo Delete Message does not recover the message either.

2. The Inbox header shows 216 messages but the Inbox is empty and contains no messages.

Using Repair Folder does not sole the problems. There are no add-ons in place.

Any suggestions on how to resolve these issues would be appreciated.

My Thunderbird just got updated to v. 115, I'm on Ubuntu 20.04 with KDE/Plasma 5.18. I have two questions, one of which is possibly a bug.

1. The new layout places a lot of buttons in the window title. How do I remove them? I'd like a standard window title like most of the other app (say, Okular) have.

2. My window manager works with focus-follows-mouse, and a window is raised whenever I click on the window borders or title. With Thunderbird 115 that doesn't work anymore: if the Thunderbird window is partly below some other window, and I click on its borders or title, it is *not* raised. How to fix this? Should I report a bug?

Calender entry keeps popping up making TB unusable

I now have two issues, one is that on my IMAP accounts with my own domain, both the recent sent and recent received emails in a thread are showing up twice. This doesn't happen with previous emails in that thread or with gmail, exchange, outlook.com, live.com, icloud, etc.... Now, I have an issue where the pop ups for calendar notifications keep popping up non stop and either won't go away by hitting "Submit to changes anyway" or if they do go away, they immediately pop back up again. 115 is a big disapointment for me, it's been highly glitchy, many add ons no longer, some that should work, don't work properly, it was hyped a major upgrade and I see very little that distinguishes if from 102 in any meaningful way except some of the icons are more colorful. Is there a way to go back to 102? Either that or I may start using Mac Mail again due to all these bugs.
