Even using control/ does not work.

Hello, I've followed Firefox's invitation to install and update the browser on my Mac. Unfortunately the new version is not compatible with OS 10 El Capitan, my operating system, so now I can't use Firefox at all. How I do get the old version back?

I've been using Firefox for iOS for several years and know how to use it at a basic level.

Just in the last couple of weeks, it doesn't want to open any buttons. That means if I want to write an email and add an attachment, or I want to post a listing on my Etsy shop and click on 'Add Photos', I click, and nothing happens. Just below this box, in fact, is 'Add images (optional):' and then a button that says 'Browse...'. Nothing happens when I click this button. There's no notification saying pop ups are blocked, just nothing happens.

So I find myself having to close down Firefox and go to Chrome or Safari, over and over again – it's so annoying, because all my passwords are saved on Firefox, so I'm just flicking between them all the time!

Any reasons you can think of? It seems to be up to date? Version is 119.0.1 (64-bit). Thanks!

Error code 242632 "The video cannot be played on this browser"

I find myself going around in a circle. On my Windows machine, about:logins gives me an option to export data. But on my Macintosh, there is no such option (Firefox ver. 78.15.0esr [64-bit]). This is a very old MacBook Air but Firefox tells me that it (Firefox) is up-to-date.

On this page: Home > Support Forums > Firefox for iOS > exporting printing log in and passwords (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1368085#question-reply, I am referred to "Export login data from Firefox" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-login-data-firefox). But this write-up tells me there is the same export option that doesn't exist.

How do I export this data unencrypted? Any file format would be fine.

Since I upgraded my Mac Air to Firefox crashes on every site needing password since Mac upgrade to Ventura 13.3.1 entura 13.3.1 Firefox crashes every time on any site needing a password. I have got latest Firefox. I have uninstalled and re-installed. No change. Any ideas please?!

Hi all, I'm having an issue that I've seen mentioned over several years and without a workable solution - I'm at the point of having to transfer all my browser usage to chrome and abandon my beloved firefox. The issue has been 'answered' by advanced users to tell people to 'inspect' which font is the issue then check local systems font book for corrupted/duplicate fonts: however this is not a satisfactory response. Context: see screen shot attached for what the jibberish looks like, and a point in the 'inspect' view that I believe (guessing) is involved. System: Firefox 112.0.2 (64-bit), MacOS 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a) on Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2020, 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5). This same websites do not have any issue on the same computer viewed on Chrome or Safari. Nor is there any problem on my iPhone on the iOS firefox browser.

Firstly this is not a user-friendly solution for most people, I'm afraid. Opening the inspect viewer is mindboggling for anyone who doesn't code and even for people who do some programming but not for websites (like me), it isn't exactly self-explanatory. I think I've managing to find examples that indicate 'Roboto' seems to be consistently involved in the display issue. Secondly, the step for 'fixing' the font that is the culprit - my local system indicates that all fonts are valid and there are no duplicates. I haven't installed manually Roboto as I'm uncertain where to 'safely' get the font from and my computer is owned and managed by my workplace - with overly strict administration/security rules so if I f-up a download of something dodgy my IT service will blacklist me and revoke my admin access... ** which would mean I'd be unable to do my job!**. I wondered if perhaps there is some security setting due to that, which stops website from loading the fonts they choose? From previous 'solutions' it said that having Firefox preference set to "allow websites to choose their own fonts..." should mean the websites can load as needed. If indeed I must manually download fonts for each and every instance that Firefox fails to display text legibly that is equivalent to Firefox being unusable. I'm clearly frustrated and it's because I love FIrefox and the ethos behind it all so leaving for Chrome would be very sad indeed! Help and a solution for normal users would be so very much appreciated. Also where can I properly lodge this issue with peeps who fix things? There are issues of this kind going back years and for both Windows and Mac Systems so it's not a one-off problem but a recurring one! On Mac OS 14.4 Firefox hangs on launch and crashes, requiring "Force Quit" when I try to Refresh or Troubleshoot. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, and restarted computer several times. Have spent several hours trying multiple community suggestions to now avail.

I am not a programmer, but am able to follow instructions. I clearly need someone to hold my hand and walk me through the solution. (I even checked out the Kaspersky suggestion, but cannot install it because Firefox cannot connect to the Internet.)

I have downloaded and saved "Raw Data.docx" and "Application Basics tex.docx" from one of the crash reports.

P.S. On this question form Firefox guessed that my operation system was Mac OS x 10_15_7, but it is 14.4

I have a new installation of Thunderbird running on Mac OS 13.5. The Received and Date fields are both showing incorrect dates. There doesn't seem to be a logical pattern to the dates being shown. I have emails from yesterday (7/28/23) that are showing dates from as 4/29/02. Emails from Monday (7/24/23) are now showing a date of 5/2/2023. Any thoughts on what might be causing this?

I cannot paste text (such as texts from Word-docs or links) while using the WhatsApp web application in Firefox. My ad-blocker for Firefox has been turned off, and all settings under the lock-logo are set on default. When I clear cookies and site date, it works for a while, but then stops working. It's quite annoying, since I use WhatsApp a lot, also for work related purposed, sharing links etc all the time.

Any idea what the problem is and how I could solve it?

I have been using Firefox for many years and I know how to use it well. However, I am currently experiencing an issue with the text and fonts on various websites, including Facebook. Even after refreshing and attempting to troubleshoot, the issue persists.

I have noticed that the font and text work normally in Firefox's troubleshooting off mode. I have even attached a photo of the issue for reference.

Please advise.

Facebook will not load on my Macbook pro anymore.

I've been using Facebook on my Mac for many years, no problems.

About 2 months ago, it stopped loading: "Gah, your tab crashed."

I went through all the self-help tips, clearing add-ons etc, clearing cache, making sure Firefox and IOS are up to date, etc., nothing works.

I've now migrated to Safari but miss Firefox.

Hi there, Zoom meetings used to open via the Firefox browser (e.g., you get a zoom invite via email, click on the link, it opens a page in firefox that says "Launch Meeting." But now it doesn't work. Nothing happens. Why? At one point Firefox put up a message that asked me to choose something and I did, and after that, it never worked again.

I can get into my zoom meetings using their meeting number and password through the zoom app, but it's more convenient to just click on their link in emails and open it within the browser.

Help please. Thanks in advance. I am using MacOS HighSierra 10.13.6, i cannot go any higher on this older mac. Firefox version is 115.7.0 esr

By the way, this version of Firefox allows me to use the internet without messages from websites telling me my browser needs upgrading. For ex., google chrome browser will not update anymore on HighSierra and my banking website and others do not perform properly with Chrome. But they are ok with Firefox. So thanks for this.

I don't think "Tabs" is the right topic, but maybe it's the best of the choices since "Other" isn't an option.

I have an email with a link to a monthly newsletter, which should take me to February's issue. When I click on, or copy/paste, the link, I end up with the January issue. When I copy/paste in Chrome and Safari, I get the February issue. The newsletter people suggested clearing my cache/cookies in Firefox, but that didn't help. No matter how I try to navigate to the newsletter in Firefox, I get to January. I have tried everything I can think of, and still get the January issue in Firefox, while that same link gets me the February issue in Safari and Chrome.

I'm using Firefox 122.0.1, on a MacBook Pro (Sonoma 14.2.1).

I'd appreciate any ideas you might have!

I've been a faithful Thunderbird user since the beginning - and continue to use Thunderbird with our company's Microsoft365 deployment

until Monday of this week -- when suddenly I find that my credentials are being refused.

The symptoms

• XXX: Connected to outlook.office365.com
• nothing in the activity viewer
• no email coming in

I've read and tried all the fixes proposed in the article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202 (restarting thunderbird after each step, naturally)

• have authorized Thunderbird to our Microsoft365 tenant
• created and tried registering with a new thunderbird profile
• have set my security settings to 'accept all cookies'
• have used the config editor to remove 'oauth2.issuer' and 'oauth2.scope' values
• I've checked that my account in Microsoft365 has IMAP and Authenticated SMTP enabled

So, since Monday, I've been living in hell, trying to pretend that the Microsoft Outlook app for macOS is useable, but it's practically debilitating to be forced to use that piece of software.

Can somebody please point me to another possible set of steps that I can use to try and diagnose this?

I absolutely hate myself for having to ask for help on this, but I'm at my wit's end...
