Whenever Firefox crashes, it restarts with a second tab open that is neither my previous session nor my home page.

Within the past several months, Firefox has been crashing routinely. The main reason I have not switched browers is that Firefox is already customized the way I like it. However, recently, whenever Firefox crashes, if I take the option to restart, it restarts with two tabs open: 1.) the previous session recovery, as normal, and 2.) a second tab, containing a website that, once upon a time, Firefox had crashed while viewing. How do I get rid of this second tab? It is not my home page, and it is not my previous session. I can't figure out where it is coming from.

I've noticed that your System Details List shows that you have modified preferences that were used in previous Firefox versions and that the current Firefox release no longer supports.

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.
