i have windows 8, when i enter a website in the go box, firefox searches, how do i turn this GD feature off?i want the website, not a search.

hello, can you be more specific - what web address are you entering into the url-bar exactly & which address/search page does it take you too instead?
You can disable keyword search via the location bar to prevent Firefox from performing a search if the URL doesn't exist and a DNS look up fails.
