My PC is a recently bought ASUS running Windows7 (64 bits). My default browser is Firefox version 18. Oddly enough, mozilla.org is the only web site that will not connect (no matter how long I wait). Moreover, I have tried other browsers with the same result. I also have another PC, a Dell Inspiron running Vista. On this other PC all browsers happily connect to mozilla.org. I have tried everything I found on the Internet (and on this site using my other PC) and checked router settings, antivirus settings, firewall settings, browser settings, javascript without success. As it appears to be PC-specific I contacted ASUS support and was told to clear the cache. Well that did not do anything. Since the problem seems to be specifically with mozilla.org website, thus this posting. Of course, this is written on my Dell PC as I cannot connect to mozilla.org on my ASUS PC.

This may be due to the connection on the affected PC since you are reporting that you can not connect with all 3 browsers, Please make sure that your anti-vrus has the exception to allow mozilla.org to run. Do you get the same error message while trying to visit another website?

See:

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.

Can you access the site via Google Translate with a random source language (e.g. fr)?

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Something seems to be wrong with mozilla.org. For instance, this website took minutes to open one page. I cannot get any response at all from bugzilla.mozilla.org. Is there a new hostname for bugzilla? What is it? I wanted to look up a bug number, but could not find any way to do that. There is another host called landfill.bugzilla.org, but it did not recognize the bug number. I am having these problems with 3 browsers: Firefox, Opera, and Safari.
