Why does hovering over the FF menus cause them to disappear???????

75% to 80% of the time when I try to hover over the menus in Firefox they disappear before I can select a menu item. Restarting FF usually resolves the issue momentarily but then it reoccurrs multiple times per day. This is extremely annoying and counterproductive.

First, update to Firefox 17.0.1, then Reset Firefox. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
