The windows taskbar is at the right side. Once page contains any Flash and you are trying to resize firefox window (dragging right-border by mouse) there is a high probability that Flash will freeze firefox for a long time and then just crash out.

Win 7, Firefox 15.0.1, Flash 11,4,402,265

This bug remains in a couple major versions already.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

1. I told you - this problem remains with different set of plugins on different machines with different videocards. So, the hardware acceleration is not a point. I've tried that.

2. Even if it is hardware acceleration there should be a better reason to turn it off. E.g. Chrome does not hang or crash in the same situation. I would not like to use product that requires to turn off some functionality without a good reason. For example - if my videocard is old or does not support acceleration I understand that and have no objections to turn acceleration off, but otherwise... I'm sorry, but somebody has to fix something :)
