valid emails are automatically being dumped into the trash folder. How do I stop this?

I had set up filters to send spam emails into the trash folder automatically

What is happening now is that valid emails are being automatically dumped into trash that I have not set up with a filter

Is this for your email account? Firefox is a web browser, and as such doesn't handle email. What you can try doing is contacting whomever is your Email provider (gmail, comcast, yahoo, hotmail) and finding out how to adjust your settings. Most every email provider either has a tech support line of a community forum.
