just installed firefox 8.01 and display is invisible in the my vista screen magnifier. worked fine in firefox 3.6. what do i do?

there is a magnifier program in vista designed for those of us that have poor eye-sight. you move the cursor over the portion of the screen you want to read and it is displayed in a box at the top of the screen magnified to the size specified. but in ff8.01 it sees thru the firefox window and shows the vista start screen thus making firefox inviable to the magnifier. although the page is displayed properly the writing is to small to read. it worked fine in ff3.6 and fine in google chrome but the same thing happens in IE9

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
