Is there a config setting to disable double tap zoom? I need to be able to send a true double tap to a java applet. Thanks!

Yes, the meta tag will stop zooming and will allow double-taps to be received by JavaScript. However, it will prevent all zooming, including pinch zooming, which might be a bad thing.

I'll start work on a "zoom options" add-on sometime soon, and post an update here when it's ready.

Sorry, there is no setting to disable double-tap zooming in Firefox for mobile. We should consider this for a future version, or an add-on. (Also, there is no Java plugin for Firefox for Android, so Java applets will not run - did you mean a JavaScript program?)

If you are a web developer, you can add <meta name="viewport" content="user-scalable=no"> to the header of web pages that you create, to disable double-tap zooming.

Thanks very much for the reply. Yes, its javascript, although it says "applet loading"... its a web interace to a CalDAV calendar server. Unfortunately without double tap I cannot enter events into the calendar.

Since this is a server running on a machine I control, I will see if I have access to the pages to add the meta tag. Will this tag not only stop zooming, but also allow the double tap to be sent to the script?

An add-on that accomplishes this would be nice. I appreciate the help!
