Is there anywhere to globally turn off HTML? I only have a 52Kb modem and I'd LOVE to turn off all the overhead associated with HTML.

I would advise to turn javascript and images off in tools -> options -> content.

HTML is requires to parse pages and is not bandwidth-intensive.
