Hi,


i want to autoupdate firefox silently on a bunch of servers. When the mentioned settings are in place i'm still promted to update firefox when opening it. This isn't possible for the users as this is something a systemengineer should do. Is there anything i'm missing for a silent autoupdate? There is no JSON file in place. these settings have been distributed by a GPO.

Background updates cannot be relied on in all cases (see the requirements section), so the user still needs to be notified of updates.

You can install Firefox from the Microsoft Store (MSIX package) which has its updates managed by the system.
