Thunderbird 102.9.1 and Microsoft 365 email log-in failing

After completing the 102.9.1 update, Thunderbird will not authenticate my email account information that uses Microsoft 365 servers. Error message: Login to server outlook.office365.com with username <my email username> failed.

There was a solution posted to change the Authentication method from "Normal" to "OAuth2" I did that and it then wiped out ALL of my email in my Inbox and folders. Now I'm not receiving incoming email to the address when using Thunderbird. Mail sends ok.
