Disappeared Tabs at top of screen

I got into Firefox and Poof! All of the Tabs at the top of the screen were gone. The "Recently Closed Tabs" offering in History is not highlighted. I've used that before to get them back. Now, how do I get them back? I was saving them for reading later. I'd like ME to be in charge of Tabs. Seems like I'm not. All tips welcome! Thank you. CD Happel

Make sure you do not run Firefox in Full Screen Mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).
